Wizkid, DJ Tunez & DJ Maphorisa Announce “South Gidi” A Cross-Continental Fusion of Afrobeats and Amapiano

Wizkid is showing no signs of slowing down in 2025. Following the release of Morayo, the Nigerian superstar is gearing up for a new collaborative project alongside two of Africa’s biggest disc jockeys DJ Tunez and DJ Maphorisa.

DJ Tunez officially confirmed the news earlier today, Thursday, October 23, 2025, unveiling the tracklist for the highly anticipated project titled South Gidi. The EP will feature three songs Money Constant, Fiesta Forever, and Abangani  promising a seamless blend of Nigerian and South African sounds.

The announcement, shared via X (formerly Twitter), came with the Nigerian and South African flags and a heart emoji a subtle nod to the unity and musical synergy behind the project.

South Gidi is set to explore the rhythmic intersections of Afrobeats and Amapiano, two powerhouse genres currently dominating global charts.
