Tyla Announces New Album A-POP After 2026 Grammy Win, Shares New Music Snippet
Following her triumphant night at the 2026 Grammy Awards, South African sensation Tyla has officially announced the title of her upcoming sophomore album while teasing fans with a preview of new music.
Fresh off securing her second Grammy — this time for Best African Music Performance with her hit single “Push 2 Start” — Tyla revealed backstage that her next studio project will be titled A-POP and is set for release this summer.
“I just want to announce something,” Tyla told reporters. “My sophomore album is coming out this summer, and it’s called A-POP.”
Although the singer did not disclose many details about the album’s tracklist or collaborators, she assured fans that new music would arrive “very soon.” The 24-year-old artist has become known for her signature fusion of pop, R&B, and amapiano — a sound often described as “popiano.”
Speaking on the evolution of her artistry, Tyla explained that the album reflects her personal growth over the past few years.
“It’s going to feel different. It’s not a new me — just more of who I am now,” she said. “I was 21, 22 before. Now at 24, I really feel like a woman, with more to say and new energy to bring… I’m so excited.”
Eagle-eyed fans had already begun speculating about the album title after spotting a subtle clue in the visuals for her chart-topping Afrobeats hit “Chanel.” Around the 52-second mark of the music video, the phrase “A-POP” briefly appears, fueling early theories about her next era.
To further mark her Grammy victory, Tyla took to social media on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, where she shared a celebratory video featuring a short snippet of an unreleased track from the upcoming album, offering fans a first taste of what’s to come.
“It’s going to be crazy,” she added, referring to the highly anticipated project that is already generating massive excitement among fans worldwide.
With A-POP on the way and momentum from her Grammy success, Tyla appears poised to enter a bold new chapter in her global rise.
