Arteta Provides Fitness Update on Eze Ahead of Bournemouth Clash

Mikel Arteta has delivered a timely fitness update on Eberechi Eze as Arsenal Football Club prepare for their upcoming Premier League fixture against AFC Bournemouth.

The Arsenal manager confirmed that Eze will be available for selection, providing a significant boost as the Gunners continue their push for the league title. The midfielder, who previously featured for Crystal Palace, has recovered ahead of schedule after a minor fitness concern.

Speaking on the situation, Arteta revealed that caution played a key role in managing the player’s recovery timeline.

“Eze is available. He has been ahead of schedule but my first conversation with him was after he felt a niggle. He wanted to be available the next week, but we knew that was impossible.”

While Eze’s return is a positive development, Arteta admitted that there are still lingering injury concerns within the squad. Several players who have been sidelined in recent weeks remain under assessment, with their availability dependent on late fitness tests.

The Spanish tactician also hinted that Arsenal could receive an additional boost, with one or two players potentially returning to the matchday squad. He emphasized the importance of squad depth during this crucial stage of the campaign, particularly with the team competing across multiple competitions.

Eze’s availability will come as welcome news for Arsenal supporters, as the club looks to maintain momentum and strengthen their title challenge in the closing stages of the season.
