BTS Confirm March 2026 Comeback Album, Marking Long-Awaited Group Return

BTS are officially set to dominate 2026. The multiple award-winning global supergroup has confirmed the release date of its next full group album, ending nearly four years of anticipation from fans worldwide.

ARMY, the dedicated fanbase of the world’s biggest K-pop act, have plenty to celebrate as BTS announced their long-awaited comeback album is scheduled for release on March 20, 2026. The project will mark the group’s first full album since Proof was released in June 2022.

The announcement was shared in a deeply personal way. Members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook sent handwritten messages to select members of their official fan club, BTS ARMY, confirming the album’s release date. Multiple South Korean media outlets later corroborated the news, as reported by Variety.

BTS last released music as a full group shortly before stepping away from the spotlight to fulfill South Korea’s mandatory military service requirements. Since then, each member has pursued solo projects while fans awaited the group’s eventual reunion.

The group first hinted at new music during a livestream in July 2025, their first collective broadcast in nearly three years. During the livestream, BTS revealed they had returned to the studio and were actively working on new material, though no official timeline was disclosed at the time.

Alongside the album announcement, BTS also confirmed plans for a global tour following the release, signaling a full-scale return to international stages.

During the livestream, the members emphasized that the upcoming album would be a fully collaborative effort. They shared that the project would reflect the individual perspectives and growth of all seven members, while maintaining the passion and creative unity that defined BTS in their early years.

With a confirmed release date, a global tour on the horizon, and renewed creative energy, BTS’ 2026 comeback is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated music events of the decade.
