Wizkid Sparks Outrage With Series of Controversial Tweets Targeting Rivals
Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has set social media ablaze after posting a string of unusually harsh and personal tweets on Friday, December 5, 2025, aimed at some of his long-time rivals.
The tweets, shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, went far beyond typical industry rivalry, touching on deeply sensitive topics and sparking widespread condemnation across the entertainment space.
One of the most controversial posts appeared to mock the bereavements linked to his rivals. Wizkid wrote:
“Pvssyboys got enough dead ppl in their crew to cry about! Add more tears.”
The message quickly triggered outrage, with many fans and industry observers describing the remark as insensitive, cruel, and unnecessary.
Wizkid continued his outburst with more aggressive posts. In another tweet, he insinuated that his rivals had faded into irrelevance:
“I think say all of una don die finish! Una still remain?”
He also took a jab widely interpreted as being directed at Davido, referencing long-standing debates between both fanbases over album performance. Wizkid wrote:
“Dem say album go swallow album dem dey ground dey smell now!”
Many fans linked this to previous back-and-forth arguments over which artist had the superior album.
The barrage of posts ended with a bold declaration of supremacy as Wizkid crowned himself the “biggest” in the industry while issuing a veiled threat about the ongoing feud.
Mixed Reactions Across Social Media
While a segment of Wizkid FC praised his confidence and fearlessness, a larger group of commentators criticized the tweets as crossing a major line especially due to the references to loss and personal tragedy. Industry figures also voiced concern that this kind of rhetoric could fuel an already tense rivalry.
As of the time of reporting, there has been no official response from the artist believed to be the target of the remarks. However, the intensity of Wizkid’s comments has raised fears that the long-standing feud may escalate further in the coming days.
