Tiwa Savage Vows to Take Legal Action Against Cyberbully Over Attacks on Her Son
Multiple award-winning Afrobeats singer and performer Tiwa Savage has announced that she will no longer tolerate cyberbullying, especially when it involves her child.
The music star on Tuesday publicly condemned an online troll whom she accused of repeatedly targeting her and her 10-year-old son, Jamil, with malicious comments. Savage described the attacks as persistent and deeply disturbing, stating that the individual had crossed a clear line by directing abuse toward her child.
According to the singer, the harassment has been ongoing for some time, with the troll allegedly making previous statements wishing harm upon her. While she admitted to previously ignoring the repeated attacks, Savage made it clear that any reference to her son was unacceptable.
In a series of posts shared on social media, the singer expressed her outrage and directly addressed the alleged perpetrator, accusing him of having an unhealthy fixation on her while lacking relevance. She emphasised that mentioning her child had escalated the situation beyond online banter.
Savage warned that she would take decisive steps if the harassment continued, stating that she would no longer allow such behaviour to go unchecked. She added that future comments involving her son would be handled outside social media platforms.
The incident has sparked conversations online about cyberbullying, personal boundaries, and the protection of children from online harassment, with many fans and fellow celebrities expressing support for the singer’s stance.
