Ruger’s Record Label Explains Delay in New Music Releases

Fans of Nigerian singer Ruger have been eagerly awaiting new music from the Afrobeats star, and his record label,  BlownBoy Entertainment, has finally shed light on the reason behind his recent silence.

In a recent statement, the label revealed that Ruger has been dealing with a series of personal and legal challenges that have affected his ability to release new music. According to the statement, the singer is currently facing the aftermath of a lawsuit allegedly filed by a former romantic partner.

The lawsuit reportedly seeks damages over claims of emotional distress. While the label did not provide extensive details about the case, it indicated that the ongoing legal dispute has had a significant impact on the artist’s activities in recent months.

Addressing growing concerns from fans, BlownBoy Entertainment stated:

“Personal challenges after someone he dated decided to sue him for alleged emotional distress and damages…”

The label suggested that these personal circumstances have contributed to the delay in Ruger’s music releases, explaining his absence from the music scene in recent months.

Ruger, whose real name is Michael Adebayo Olayinka, established BlownBoy Entertainment following his departure from  Jonzing World. Since rising to fame, he has become one of Nigeria’s most successful Afrobeats artists, delivering hit songs such as Asiwaju, Bounce, and Girlfriend.

As of now, neither Ruger nor his management team has publicly commented further on the reported lawsuit or provided a timeline for his next musical release. Fans, however, remain hopeful that the singer will soon return to the spotlight with new music once the ongoing issues are resolved.
