Portable Set to Return to School This Time for the Business of Music

Street-hop sensation Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, is taking a new step in his career one that goes beyond the microphone. The Zazu crooner has revealed plans to return to school, with the goal of gaining deeper insight into the business side of music.

Although he already holds an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from Kwara State Polytechnic, Portable says this new academic pursuit is about equipping himself with the knowledge to manage his career and record label, Zeh Nation, more effectively.

“Even though I already have an OND from Kwara State Polytechnic, I still want to further my education so I can understand my music royalties and business deals better, especially for my record label, Zeh Nation,” Portable explained.

The controversial but determined artist emphasized that his motivation isn’t about earning another certificate, but rather about becoming more business-savvy and running his music empire with a professional mindset.

Fans have widely praised the move, describing it as a sign of growth and maturity.“Finally, Portable is thinking like a real boss,” one fan wrote. Another added, “Education is important artists need to understand their royalties and contracts.”

From dominating street anthems to now prioritizing education, Portable’s latest decision marks a new chapter in his journey one where knowledge, not just fame, takes center stage.
