Police Arrest Suspects in Lil Kesh’s Robbery and Stabbing Case
Nigerian singer Ololade Keshinro, better known as Lil Kesh, is finally seeing justice take shape after his shocking robbery and stabbing incident last month.
The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two prime suspects linked to the brutal attack that nearly claimed the artiste’s life.
Who Are the Suspects?
The suspects have been identified as 25-year-old Mathew Adewole and 31-year-old Mukhtar Muhammad. According to police reports, they were arrested in Na’ibawa Quarters, Kano, following a well-coordinated, intelligence-led operation.
How the Attack Happened
On August 19, 2025, Lil Kesh was assaulted at his Bera Estate residence in Chevron, Lagos. Reports say the attackers left him with deep cuts on the neck in what police describe as an attempted murder.
The assailants didn’t stop there they also stole money from the singer’s account using his mobile phone.
Lil Kesh Speaks Out
Despite the violent encounter, Lil Kesh took to X (formerly Twitter) shortly after the attack to reassure fans:
“Life threw me a curveball, but I’m safe, healing, and blessed to be here. I’m grateful for the love, support, and prayers.”
His words calmed worried fans and showed his resilience in the face of danger.
What Police Recovered
In their latest update, police revealed they recovered ₦2.12 million linked to the robbery. The suspects have now been handed over to the Lagos State Police Command for further investigation and prosecution.
Police spokesperson SP Abdullahi Haruna confirmed that Adewole admitted to carrying out the attack and transferring the stolen money into Muhammad’s account.
Police Call It a “Major Breakthrough”
Haruna described the arrests as a “major breakthrough”, made possible through intelligence gathering and community collaboration.
He also emphasized that the Command, under the directive of Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, remains committed to strengthening intelligence and community policing to fight violent crimes across Nigeria.
