Odumodublvck Breaks Silence on Feud with Blaqbonez, Says It’s “Beyond Music”
Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has finally addressed his much-discussed fallout with fellow rapper Blaqbonez, revealing that the dispute stems from a deeply personal issue rather than a musical rivalry.
In a detailed statement shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, November 3, 2025, the Declan Rice crooner explained that his actions were motivated by loyalty and protection, not competition. The post, titled “TO MY FAMILY, FRIENDS, FANS AND TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN – INDUSTRY MACHINE,” offered an emotional account of the events behind the scenes.
According to Odumodublvck, the feud traces back to a close associate of his who suffered over a year of targeted online harassment and personal attacks. Despite his efforts to seek help from several industry figures including label executives and senior colleagues he said the issue was ignored.
“When it became clear that no one would protect her, I felt compelled to step in,” he wrote. “These actions were not driven by ego or pride, but by anger, frustration, and the need to defend someone I care about who had been tormented for far too long while everyone looked away.”
Odumodublvck dismissed claims that his conflict with Blaqbonez is a “rap beef,” saying the label reduces a serious issue to entertainment.
“This issue has now been twisted to look like a rap beef, a move to service someone’s career,” he said. “I said it last year, even when tensions were low, that this is not a rap beef. It’s a personal matter that has been exploited for clout. Reducing a person’s pain to entertainment is not only insensitive but deeply disrespectful.”
The rapper concluded his statement by emphasizing his desire for peace and growth moving forward.
“I have always stood for honesty and accountability. My focus now is on peace, closure, and moving forward.”
The rift between Odumodublvck and Blaqbonez has dominated Nigeria’s hip-hop conversations for months, with social media debates and diss tracks including Blaqbonez’s “ACL” fueling the tension. Odumodublvck’s latest remarks now add a personal layer to the saga, suggesting the feud may have been rooted in emotional loyalty rather than artistic rivalry.
