Ange Postecoglou could soon become the shortest-serving manager in Premier League history after his rocky start as Nottingham Forest boss.
The 60-year-old is expected to remain in charge for Forest’s upcoming Premier League clash against Chelsea, despite last Sunday’s 2–0 defeat to Newcastle United a result viewed internally as a turning point for his future.
Having failed to record a single win in his first seven games across all competitions, pressure is mounting on the former Tottenham Hotspur manager to deliver results quickly.
Mounting Pressure at the City Ground
Postecoglou’s position has been under serious scrutiny heading into the international break, with sources suggesting that all parties are aware a mutual parting of ways could soon be on the table.
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is believed to be assessing potential replacements, though options remain complicated. One name reportedly on the list is Marco Silva, the current Fulham manager but prying him away would involve significant compensation costs.
Who Could Replace Ange Postecoglou?
Among the realistic options, Sean Dyche the former Burnley and Everton boss has emerged as a strong contender.Dyche has close ties to Nottingham, having been a youth player at the club early in his career, and still resides relatively nearby.
If appointed, he would become Nottingham Forest’s third manager of the season, highlighting the club’s ongoing struggle for stability in the Premier League.
Fans Call for Clarity
Forest supporters are growing increasingly concerned about the club’s direction, calling for quick action to resolve the coaching uncertainty before the season intensifies.
With crucial fixtures ahead and morale dipping, Nottingham Forest must decide whether to stand by Postecoglou or begin yet another rebuild mid-season.
