Globacom Hosts Inspiring SheGlows Summit 2025: Empowering Women Through Wellness and Growth

Female employees of telecommunications giant Globacom gathered in Lagos on Friday evening for the SheGlows Summit 2025, an uplifting event dedicated to women’s wellness, growth, and relevance in today’s evolving workplace.

Held at the Alliance Française, Mike Adenuga Centre, the summit themed “Wellness for Growth” was filled with laughter, inspiration, and heartfelt connection as participants from various departments came together to celebrate resilience, brilliance, and balance.

According to Globacom, the initiative was designed to honour the strength of its female workforce, inspire them toward personal well-being, and promote a culture of confidence and professional success. The company reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women and creating spaces that nurture both growth and authenticity.

One of the keynote speakers, Dr. Olubunmi Aboderin-Talabi, Non-Executive Director at Punch Nigeria Limited, delivered a powerful session titled “Ten Stages of Wellness.” She encouraged women to embrace their power, recognise the different seasons of their lives, and prioritise rest as a key part of success. Quoting author Joyce Meyer, she reminded the audience:

“You can be pitiful or powerful, but you can’t be both.”

In another inspiring session, Bunmi George, Founder of Shredder Gang, spoke on “Willpower and Tenacity.” She highlighted the importance of moderation, discipline, and healthy living as essential habits for achieving work-life balance and long-term relevance.

“Your muscles are your longevity organ,” she said, emphasizing the role of physical wellness in sustaining career success.

Adding a touch of elegance and influence to the discussions, Ifeoma Williams, Global Image Consultant and Executive Presence Coach, led a session titled “Commanding the Room: Building Executive Presence and Influence for Career Growth.” She spoke on authenticity, poise, and purpose, noting that:

“People may forget how you look, but they’ll never forget how you make them feel.”She concluded with an inspiring line that resonated deeply across the room:“Only when a woman truly glows does she grow.”

The summit also featured an engaging panel session where participants exchanged ideas, asked questions, and shared personal experiences. To ensure inclusivity, Globacom provided a dedicated virtual link, allowing female staff outside Lagos to join the conversation and share in the “SheGlows” spirit.
