Davido’s Father Breaks Silence on Alleged Daughter’s DNA Case
Davido’s father, billionaire businessman Adedeji Adeleke, has publicly addressed the long-running paternity controversy involving a 12-year-old girl named Anuoluwapo, revealing new and surprising details about the case.
Speaking at a press conference in Lagos on Wednesday, Mr. Adeleke confirmed that multiple DNA tests have already been conducted following claims that the girl is Davido’s biological daughter. According to him, all results have consistently shown that the child is not related to his son.
Multiple DNA Tests Conducted
Addressing the renewed calls for another DNA test, Mr. Adeleke described the situation as unnecessary, stressing that the family has already exhausted scientific verification.
He disclosed that:
Five separate DNA tests have been carried out over the years.
All five results reportedly confirmed that Davido is not the biological father.
Davido, he said, has never denied any of his biological children but cannot be held responsible for a child who is not his.
“David has never denied his children,” Adeleke stated, “but he cannot accept responsibility for a child that is not his.”
Secret Financial Support Revealed
In a surprising revelation, Mr. Adeleke admitted that he quietly supported the child financially for years despite the DNA results.
According to him:
He regularly sent money to Anuoluwapo’s aunt to cover school fees and general upkeep.
He demanded receipts and proof of purchases to ensure the funds were used properly.
He kept the arrangement hidden from Davido, saying, “I did not discuss it with David or anybody.”
He added that his actions were motivated purely by compassion, insisting that the child deserves care and clarity about her true parentage.
Why the Case Resurfaced
The controversy resurfaced in mid-January after Anuoluwapo posted an emotional video on Instagram, pleading for a new DNA test. In the video, she claimed she was being severely bullied and mocked by her peers over the unresolved paternity issue, causing emotional distress.
Her appeal reignited public debate and renewed pressure on the Adeleke family for another test.
Conflicting Claims from the Mother
While the Adeleke family maintains that five DNA tests have been conducted, the girl’s mother, Ayotomide Labinjoh, disputes this account.
She claims:
Only one DNA test was done in 2014.
The result was allegedly manipulated or compromised at the clinic.
She is demanding a fresh, independent DNA test.
To ensure transparency, Labinjoh has also requested that any new test be supervised by the U.S. Embassy or the U.S. State Department, citing Davido’s American citizenship as a reason for international oversight.
An Ongoing and Sensitive Dispute
The situation remains unresolved, with both sides standing firmly by their positions. While the Adeleke family insists the matter has been scientifically settled, the child’s mother continues to push for another test under international supervision.
As the controversy unfolds, public attention remains fixed on the case one that blends celebrity, family responsibility, and the emotional welfare of a child caught in the middle of a long-running dispute.
