The announcement was made on Thursday night through a video shared by music mogul Don Jazzy on his official Instagram page, officially welcoming the rising star to the iconic label.

Born Stevenson Njoku Anyinachiso, CupidSZN hails from Port Harcourt, Rivers State. His musical journey began unexpectedly after watching a Juice WRLD video that sparked his initial interest in trap music. However, with time, his passion evolved, leading him toward the vibrant and globally celebrated sound of Afrobeats ultimately shaping his unique Afropop/Afrobeats hybrid style.

Following secondary school, CupidSZN made the bold decision to forgo university in pursuit of a full-time music career. Though his parents were apprehensive at first, his focus and perseverance eventually earned their support. In 2023, his entire family relocated with him to Lagos a powerful show of belief in his talent that has now paid off with his official signing to Mavin Records.

CupidSZN’s style blends infectious Afrobeats rhythms with catchy lyricism. Some of his standout releases include “Service” (2024) produced by Ozedikus and Kamal, “I Want More” (2025), and “Osogeme” featuring Wademix. Another notable track, “Ifeoma” (2024), produced by Ozedikus, has gained impressive traction. His debut EP, Myth eRA, offers a playful yet confident introduction to his artistry, with tracks like “Tuka Tuka” already resonating with listeners through its flirtatious rhythm and memorable hook.

Joining Mavin Records places CupidSZN among a roster known for shaping continental and global stars. Alumni and labelmates include Rema, whose 2022 hit “Calm Down” became one of Afrobeats’ biggest global records, Ayra Starr, now a worldwide sensation, lyrical powerhouse Ladipoe, soulful storyteller Johnny Drille, and emerging voices like Boy Spyce and Bayanni.
