Blaqbonez Shares Hilarious Story About Getting “Stranded” in Peckham with Ckay

Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has left fans laughing after recounting a comical story about how he and fellow singer Ckay accidentally found themselves “stranded” in Peckham, South London, during one of their first trips to the UK.

Speaking on the In My Opinion podcast, the Cinderella Girl hitmaker shared how both artists, fresh off their flight and new to London life, ended up booking what they thought was a good Airbnb deal only to realize too late that it was located in Peckham.

“Soon as we land in London, we discovered that the apartment was in Peckham,” Blaqbonez laughed. “I was like, ‘Eh! All the London we’ve been seeing doesn’t look like this!’”

The story took a funnier turn when they proudly told friends, “We’re in London!” only to be met with confusion.

“‘Where are you?’ they asked. We said, ‘Peckham.’ And they replied, ‘Aye bro, what you doing in the ends?’”

At first, neither Blaqbonez nor Ckay understood the slang until someone explained that “the ends” referred to a rough part of town. That was their cue to leave. “That’s when we knew we couldn’t stay there,” Blaqbonez said, recalling how they immediately packed up and started searching for a new place to stay.

The duo ended up hauling their luggage through the streets of London, doing what Blaqbonez jokingly called “mandatory walking” while trying to find accommodation. When asked if he’d ever gone back to Peckham, he burst into laughter and replied, “Never again! Once bitten, twice shy.”

The interview clip has since gone viral on social media, with fans calling it one of the funniest celebrity travel stories of the year. Many praised Blaqbonez for his trademark humor and storytelling charm, while others joked that “every Nigerian first-time visitor to London has a Peckham story.”
