Odumodublvck Faces New Legal Trouble Over Alleged Online Intimidation

Afrobeats rapper Odumodublvck is once again in the spotlight this time, not for his music but for a deepening legal crisis that seems to echo one of his own lyrics. In his hit track “Industry Machine,” he famously rapped, “They been dey find me for court all along…” Now, that lyric has taken on a life of its own.

According to The Cable Lifestyle, the Abuja-based artist, whose real name is Tochukwu Ojogwu, has been summoned by an Abuja court following a complaint of alleged criminal intimidation filed by a senior music industry executive.

The Allegations

The case was reportedly filed by Olayinka Osagie Onobun, Head of Artists and Repertoire (A&R) at Chocolate City Music, one of Nigeria’s most established record labels. Onobun accuses Odumodublvck of using social media posts to intimidate him posts allegedly “intended to cause fear” and threaten “injury to his person.”

The complaint, submitted to the Chief Magistrate Court in Abuja, has now led to an official court summons. Presiding Magistrate Farida Ibrahim ordered the rapper to appear before the court on Thursday, November 6, 2025, to respond to the charges.

Previous Legal Encounters

This isn’t the rapper’s first brush with the law. Odumodublvck is also facing a separate civil suit before the Abuja High Court. In that case, entertainment photographer Levi Ogbogiri (professionally known as Kraziecent) accuses the artist of assault and property damage during an event in December 2024. Ogbogiri claims Odumodublvck attacked him and destroyed his iPhone 15 Pro Max, seeking compensation for medical costs, reputational harm, and a public apology. That hearing is scheduled for November 26, 2025.

The Bigger Picture: Image, Feuds, and Fallout

Odumodublvck’s rise in the Nigerian music scene has been fueled by his “Big Kala” persona bold, unfiltered, and often confrontational. It’s a style that’s won him both loyal fans and fierce critics. His authentic and rebellious image has propelled him to international recognition, including partnerships with Native Records and Def Jam.

However, the rapper’s ongoing feud with Chocolate City’s Blaqbonez has added more heat to his public image. The pair have traded diss tracks and online jabs for months, with tensions spilling over into wider industry debates about influence, credibility, and loyalty. Odumodublvck has also taken shots at Blaqbonez’s manager, Morin Oluwatobi, and even Chocolate City co-founder Jude “MI” Abaga, accusing him of hypocrisy.

What began as lyrical sparring has now escalated into legal confrontation, marking a turning point for the outspoken artist.

Odumodublvck Responds

In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), Odumodublvck denied being violent and said he remains committed to peace and accountability:

“I have always stood for honesty and accountability. I’ve called out those I once respected because when it mattered most, they chose silence. That is not leadership. That is not character. At the end of the day, you can decide if your hate for me outweighs your sense of justice. The matter has been addressed, and I have chosen not to revisit it. My focus now is on peace, closure, and moving forward.”

With one court appearance due this week and another later in the month, the rapper’s words will soon be tested not on social media, but in the courtroom.
